There are approximately 4.5 million Muslims in the United States. 

Due to their diversity across different ethnicities, races, and cultural practices, and the lack of research intended to explore them, they are a largely misunderstood population. 

And due to their overwhelming minority and marganlized status, as well as implicit and internalized Islamphobic biases, Muslim patients are not always awarded the standard of care. 

Let’s change that.
